Luxlait, along with 31 other Luxembourg companies from 8 different economic sectors, supports the Devoir de Vigilance Luxembourg Initiative.
The initiative, supported by 16 Luxembourg civil society organisations, calls for the implementation of binding legislation establishing a duty of vigilance for companies domiciled in Luxembourg with regard to human rights and respect for the environment.
As the desired objective of the initiative is in line with our corporate values, it seems natural that we should support it.
It should be borne in mind that this Luxembourg dynamic can also be found in several other European countries where companies are calling on their respective governments to implement legislation to make human rights due diligence mandatory.
