Crispy Marinated Wings & Buttermilk Ranch Sauce

Buttermilk is a real game changer in the kitchen!

For the wings

1kg chicken wings
2 egg whites
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tsp dried oregano
80g panko breadcrumbs
  Salt & pepper

Recipe steps

In a large bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg whites, panko, garlic powder, paprika, chili, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken wings and coat them thoroughly. Cover and let marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or overnight for enhanced flavor).

Take the wings out of the fridge and stir again to redistribute the coating. Place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 200°C for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway through. The wings should be golden and crispy.

For the ranch sauce

2 tsbp mayonnaise
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp dried shallots
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh dill
  Salt & pepper

In a bowl, mix the cream, Luxlait buttermilk, mayonnaise, garlic powder, shallots, dill, salt & pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
