Crêpes clown chandeleur carnaval

Celebrate Candlemas and Carnival with your kids!

Serves 4 • Preparation: 1 hour + 1 hour resting time

Ingredients

150g sifted flour
30g sugar
3 tbsp vanilla sugar
2 eggs
1 pinch of salt
  oil for baking
  cut fruit
  sugar sprinkles

Recipe steps

1

Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the sugar, 1 tbsp vanilla sugar and salt. Mix the ingredients well with a hand mixer. Gradually add the flour and milk and mix well with the mixer. Then add the melted butter and mix well until you have a smooth dough (without lumps). Leave the dough to rest in the fridge for 1 hour.

2

Take the cream out of the fridge and pour it into a bowl. Add 2 tbsp vanilla sugar. Whip the cream with a hand mixer until stiff. Pour the whipped cream into a piping bag with a nozzle so that you can decorate the pancakes later and pipe on the clowns' hair. Put the piping bag in the fridge and take it out just before serving.

3

Put some oil in a pan. Pour some batter into the pan with a ladle and spread it thinly. Bake the pancake on both sides and set aside on a plate. Repeat the baking steps until the batter is used up.

4

Decorate the pancakes with whipped cream, fruit pieces and sprinkles by forming clown heads. Let your imagination run wild.
