Chocolate-Reindeers

Our chocolate reindeers flocked just in time!

Prep time: 15 minutes • Baking Time 20 minutes

Brownies

170g Dark chocolate 70% cocoa
3 Medium eggs at room temperature
120g Granulated sugar
60g Flour
2 tbsp Cocoa powder
1 tsp Vanilla powder or vanilla extract
1/4 tsp Salt
60g Chocolate chips

Recipe steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler or a saucepan over low heat.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar for 2 minutes until frothy, using an electric mixer.

Fold in the melted chocolate and butter mixture.

Sift in the flour and cocoa powder. Add in the vanilla powder and salt. Mix well. Finally stir in the chocolate chips.

Pour the brownie batter into a greased baking pan (20x20 cm). Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C fan.

Frosting & Decoration

35g Dark chocolate
35g Milk chocolate
6 Pretzels
6 Red Smarties
12 Sugar eyes

Recipe steps

Meanwhile, melt the dark and milk chocolate in a double boiler or a saucepan over low heat. Remove from the heat and stir in the Greek yogurt. Let the frosting cool in the fridge.

Once cooked, remove the brownies from the oven and allow to cool completely. Cut into 6 rectangles and cover with icing. Decorate with pretzels, smarties, and sugar eyes to form reindeers.
