Christmas biscuits featuring our famous Egg Nog!

Prep time: 15 minutes • Baking time: 15 minutes • Resting time: 1 hour

Cookies

2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp honey
100g all purpose flour
75g almond powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Recipe steps

Beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer.

Pour in the honey and eggnog. Beat briefly.

Add in the flour, almond powder and cinnamon. Mix with a spatula or your hands and form into a ball.

Cut the dough in half and wrap each disk in cling film. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Roll out the first disc of dough until 0,5 cm thick.

Cut out cookies using a cookie cutter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, until golden brown. Repeat the process with the second disc of dough. Let the cookies cool down completely.

Icing

50g powdered sugar

Recipe steps

Mix the powdered sugar with the eggnog until you have a fairly thick but drizzly glaze. Add more eggnog if needed.

Dip each cookie, golden side down, into the glaze. Allow to harden.
